Structure of academic year
The academic year at German universities is divided into two semesters.
The winter semester (WS) runs from October 1st to March 31st, and the summer semester (SS) runs from April 1st to September 30th. Classes are not held during the entire semester.
Overview of the teaching periods for most courses in the coming semesters:
|SS 2013||Monday, 15. April 2013||Saturday, 20. July 2013|
|WS 2013/14||Monday, 21. October 2013||Saturday, 15. February 2014|
