Admissions

			For everyone who wants to apply for studies at the University of Freiburg, whether as a beginning student or an experienced student enrolling in a higher semester.
			Before sending in your application for admission, make sure you are aware of the prerequisites for admission and application deadlines for your field of study. The best way to do this is over the list of all fields of study.
			Whether you can be admitted directly to a bachelor, teaching, or state examination degree program depends on what type of school-leaving certificate you have and where you come from: Do you have German higher education entrance qualification? Are you an EU citizen or not?
			We’ve gathered some basic information here to help international students plan and prepare for a course of study in Freiburg and find their way around at the university upon arrival.
			Application and matriculation procedures for master programs are regulated by the departments themselves. For more information, please contact a departmental academic advisor or the main office of the department offering the program you are interested in (see the list of all 11 faculties of the university on the central homepage).
			Guest students can register for most courses which meet regularly (lecture courses and seminars). There are not any age restrictions, nor do guest students need to be formally enrolled in a course of study at the university.
