    In Baden-Württemberg the activities of the AStA are restricted by law. The committee is only allowed to speak on topics concerning music, culture, sports, interdisciplinary matters, and in certain cases social matters. In addition, it has a rather low budget at its disposal in comparison to all student government organs outside of Baden-Württemberg and Bavaria and has to have all proposals approved by the board of executive officers. Adequate representation of the student body is not possible within these narrow bounds. The u-asta was formed to fill this gap. The u-asta advises students on questions concerning BAföG, tuition, jobs, legal issues, and much more.

    Good advice doesn’t have to cost an arm and a leg. At the Office of Student Services it doesn’t cost anything at all. The counseling services of the Office of Student Services provide personal counseling tailored to your individual needs. Don’t hesitate to turn to them if you need information or support. The psychotherapeutic counseling service even offers personal counseling with therapists in English.

    The Nightline is a listening and information telephone hotline from students for students. Five days a week you will find a sympathetic listener for your questions and problems.
  • Students at work [de]
    Online advising from the DGB (German Confederation of Trade Unions) for working students. Information on studies, BAföG, jobs, internships, and career entry.
