- We’ve gathered some basic information here to help international students plan and prepare for a course of study in Freiburg and find their way around at the university upon arrival.

- Guest students can register for most courses which meet regularly (lecture courses and seminars). There are not any age restrictions, nor do guest students need to be formally enrolled in a course of study at the university.

- Since summer semester 2007 all public higher education institutions and academies for cooperative education in Baden-Württemberg have been required to charge students general tuition. All students enrolled in an undergraduate degree program or a consecutive master degree program are required to pay the tuition fees.
