Amount of financial support

The type and amount of financial support depends on the length of the stay and the destination: 

• Stays of up to 10 weeks (9 weeks and 6 days): travel-cost allowance (can be found in the list in the column „Teilstipendium Mobilität in Euro“); in case you receive the scholarship, you will receive this rate as a one-time fixed rate, regardless of your actual travel costs.

• Stays of 10 weeks or longer: travel-cost allowance (can be found in the list in the column „Teilstipendium Mobilität in Euro“); in case you receive the scholarship, you will receive this rate as a one-time fixed rate, regardless of your actual travel costs. In addtion, you also apply for the monthly scholarship rates then (can be found in the list in the column „Teilstipendium Aufenthalt in Euro“); please note that the monthly rate is just a partial scholarship not meant to cover all costs.

You can find the amounts for each country in the DAAD-PROMOS list, which is always valid for one calendar year.
 
Please note, that you cannot apply for stays in all countries mentioned in this list. Please see the information in the individual programme lines to find out which countries are open for applications at the University of Freiburg. Moreover, please note that the University of Freiburg does not pay any tuition fees and thus the column „Teilstipendium Studiengebühren (Höchstsatz) in Euro“ is not relevant for you. In addition, the column 'Aufenthaltspauschale in Euro' does not apply for the programme lines offered at the University of Freiburg, either.
