Application deadlines

If possible, please always apply early and some time before the end of the respective deadline so that there is still time to react in case of errors or incompleteness!

The deadlines vary depending on the length of stay. A distinction is made between stays lasting up to 9 weeks and 6 days and stays lasting 10 weeks or more.

Deadlines for stays of at least 10 weeks:

Start between 1 January 2024 and 29 February 2024: 15 November 2023
Start between 1 March 2024 and 31 July 2024: 17 January 2024
Start from 1 August 2024 or later in 2024: 14 June 2024

If the stay has been arranged after the expiry of one of these deadlines, you may, in exceptional cases and after consultation, also be able to apply according to the regulations for stays of less than 10 weeks, provided that there is still budget available. Please note, however, that in this case all details apply to the section 'Stays of up to 9 weeks and 6 days' (e.g. application for travel expenses only). Deadlines for stays of up to 9 weeks and 6 days:

Applications can be submitted on an ongoing basis as long as there is still budget available. We therefore recommend that you apply as early as possible. From the second half of the year (i.e. from July or later), please enquire in advance with Ms Obert by email whether there is still budget available and whether you can still apply for a stay in this calendar year: promos@zv.uni-freiburg.de

Deadlines:

Applications must be submitted before the start of the stay abroad and at the latest three months before the end date.

Example: For an internship in Chile from 5 August 2024 to 13 September 2024, the application must be submitted completely by 13 June 2024 at the latest.

All deadlines are binding.
