zweiter stammtisch mindmap webWhere do we like to do sports? Who has already taken a day trip to Switzerland, France or the Black Forest? Which restaurant do we prefer to go to? And where is a good café? What tips do others have and what else would we like to do around Freiburg and in the city? We discussed all of this intensively on Friday, passed on our own tips but also received many new suggestions and ideas.

For this international Stammtisch we decided to plan a little trivia night with different categories. We learned a lot about different dialects, tongue twisters and German sayings. We also tried pronouncing difficult German words, amongst other things the longest German word since 1996 in the Guinness Book of Records.

For the first international Stammtisch this semester, we met in a restaurant and had an opportunity to make new acquaintances through the popular "Speed Friending" concept. Each person had 5 minutes to talk to the other person, then we rotated clockwise and got to know even more people! While some talked about their hobbies or favorite foods, others discussed different fields of study and exchanged tips and tricks about Freiburg.

This time, our international Stammtisch was all about Freiburg. In order to get to know each other better, we first played the game "1 truth 2 lies". After that we split up into smaller groups and talked intensively about Freiburg. We found out which cafés make the best coffee, where one can find the best food and which places one should definitely visit. Through this exchange of ideas, each person could not only learn something new about Freiburg, but also get useful tips and tricks about the city.

On our way back to Kanonenplatz we took a short and slightly hilly detour which was a little adventurous but planned of course. In the end we experienced a wonderful and very colorful sunset although there were many clouds.

Even though the courses were quite difficult sometimes, everybody had a lot of fun, trying to reach the hole in as little tries as possible. While some were trying to apply their studies to calculate the best shot, others were busy trying to follow the golden rule of miniature golf: Play gently and not with force.
